When not snowboarding or playing with his son Miles, Brad serves as President and General Manager of People Productions. A graduate of Amherst College, Brad has been working in media production since 1984 when he helped create People Productions with original owner Charlie Stein. Since that time Brad has brought his talents in writing, editing, directing and producing to a wide range of clients, from top national corporations to local humanitarian organizations.
In 1991, Brad purchased the company outright and got kicked upstairs to management, where he can often be found taking your lunch order. While this serves his left brain well, his right brain longs for one last edit session. In any case, he is determined to make People Productions a fun and rewarding place for anyone who walks in the door.
Don likes to travel. A lot. From Thailand to Russia to the Amazon to Morocco to China and many other places in-between. You can find him outside (covered in sunscreen) biking, swimming, camping or running. Another creative outlet outside of his video work is his music. After recording for over 15 years, he has had record deals, released independent records, and is now recording with a new band using instruments from around the world. He has an extensive music collection, listed at www.muteelation.com/cdlist.html
Don started working with computer graphics in seventh grade and won a graphic design contest in high school. His works have been shown around the world in film festivals and TV, and have won the top awards at the Telluride Mountain Film Festival, the US International Film & Video Festival, The Denver Film Festival and the Banff Film Festival, among others. He is also a frequent teacher for Boulder Digital Arts and leader of the Boulder Final Cut User's Group.
Marya rarely does anything halfway - so none of us were too surprised when she instantly became a Mom of two very active young kids several years ago. After 25+ years in production, her skills in project management and creative problem solving are really being put to the test!
After years in ad agencies and directing commercials in LA, Marya decided to redirect her energies toward education and corporate communications. In 1992, while living in Steamboat, she came looking for a production company on the Front Range that could do some of the work she was flying to LA to edit. She landed at People Productions and has been working with us ever since.
When she's not producing and directing one of our many video or interactive projects, Marya can be found at the helm of Intrepid Films, a partner of People Productions that focuses on producing media for schools and universities.
Monique's first job was as a Girl Scout camp counselor! After a few years as a head bank teller, she decided to do something more creative. She changed careers starting as an intern for People Productions, willing to learn anything and everything about video production. That, combined with her math and computer skills, led to her current position, managing both the office and the accounting department for People Productions.
Monique loves camping and building campfires, going to the movies, going to concerts of her favorite artists, listening to music, and watching the Xena, Warrior Princess television series! Monique also plays basketball, tennis, soccer, karate, darts, pool, card games, board games and archery. Her hobbies include watercolor painting, working on her family tree research project, traveling and taking pictures.
Monique's favorite musicians are the Indigo Girls and Melissa Etheridge. She really loves to see the Indigo Girls in concert and rock out! With her heart felt efforts, she strongly supports the non-profit group Honor The Earth at www.honorearth.org.
"It took a long time to become the thing I am to you. And you won't tear it apart without a fight, without a heart. It took a long time to become you, become you."
-- Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls
Zach is a "tinkerer" by nature and stays constantly immersed in some kind of "project". Presently affected by a horticultural addiction, he spends an undisclosed amount of time, energy and expendable income at nurseries or digging holes and moving rocks during the summer. During the (long) winter he will complain about the weather and attempt escaping to the tropics. Otherwise; Zach has a name that makes very little sound but provides a use for the letter Z. He often swallows multivitamins with a beer. Someday Zach hopes to own a mad laboratory (in the tropics?). He has been involved with video and interactive media since his first internship at his hometown cable news station in 1992. Having been extensively involved in traditional video production, new media, web development and streaming media, Zach can advise customers on the most intelligent strategy for utilizing and combining media technologies, or engage them in very long, geeky and acronym riddled conversations. In 2004 he co-founded Boulder Digital Arts with Bruce Borowsky for reasons he'll never fully understand.
After years of only studio sunshine in his native England, Antony moved to sunny Colorado, the perfect spot to grow with his wife & two boys. Several years in music TV production for MTV and Polygram Records include names such as the Rolling Stones, the Who, Elvis Costello and INXS. He spent some years as manager of on-air operations for the Denver based Scandinavian Channel. Antony enjoys directing a broad variety of projects for People Productions. From commercials to drama to training, every project brings something new.
Scariest shoot: on the Apple 1984 commercial set when over one hundred skinheads started to riot.
Most relaxing shoot: standing in the Colorado river for three days waiting for our TV fishing host to catch a trout.
Before joining People Productions over eight years ago as a full-time producer, Bruce produced a national television series for the Outdoor Channel on rock climbing and mountaineering. He actually began as a client of People Productions, editing "The Climbing Show" here 14 years ago!
Bruce's passions include sailing, tennis, mountain-biking, and skiing; as well as his wife Jenny, and children Sophie and Noah. In 2002, Bruce raced a 72-foot sailboat across the Atlantic Ocean as part of a crew sponsored by BG Group of England, and his boat won the race! For photos and video of the exciting race from Southampton, England to Boston, check out his website at: www.bruceborowsky.com. In addition, his video documentary about the race, titled "18 days, 16 hours," was screened at several film festivals including the Annapolis Film Festival and won the Best Documentary award at the Route 66 Adventure & Travel Film Festival in Illinois!
Bruce is also the co-founder of Boulder Digital Arts, along with Zach Daudert. Boulder Digital Arts is a central resource for Boulder/Denver area film and videomakers, web designers, photographers and interactive artists and provides many affordable classes and workshops, as well as a monthly Salon at BMOCA. Growing up in northern California, Mark was always involved in something new and was fascinated by art and technology at a young age. Early on Mark found himself drawing, taking pictures, and playing video games. Currently Mark enjoys reading, designing, taking pictures, shooting video and learning new ways to be creative.
At People Productions Mark works as a graphic artist and interactive designer. He works with multiple design and development applications for print, interactive, video and the web.
After trading the humid heat of Alabama for the dry cold of Colorado, Andrew decided to make music and audio production the central focus of his life. While mastering the art of listening, he was given some advice... "learn all you can about video in addition to your audio studies." He took this advice to heart and began teaching himself video editing and DVD authoring. Combining these new talents with his graphic design skills, he began producing CDs and authoring DVDs for local bands.
After a brief stint as an engineer in a recording studio, Andrew began doing more audio for video. His audio mix for the documentary "Between Earth and Sky" premiered at the Telluride Mountain Film Festival in 2004 and won "Best Adventure Film" at the Boulder Adventure Film Festival in 2005.
When not in front of his digital workstation, Andrew enjoys making music, running with scissors and playing with fire.
Our graduate from Metropolitan State College of Denver, Cameron received his degree in Technical Communications, a natural stepping stone to corporate video production.
His friendly demeanor and can-do attitude has aided him in overcoming challenges of all sizes making him an asset behind the camera. After spending a semester as an intern and some time in our Duplication and Transfers department, Cameron has become a member of our trusted Video Production team. As a Videographer and Production Assistant he does what it takes to get the job done while keeping the project quality high.
When not behind the lens, Cameron can be found exploring the streets of Colorado on his motorcycle, playing in the mountains or planning exciting trips to various destinations.
Hi! I'm Jeff Lindermeier, and I'm a designer. I'm also a sports enthusiast, gamer, movie-goer, dog lover, husband and Father. Originally a print designer for several years I was fortunate to make the leap into the Internet revolution rather early. Since making the transition to web I have worked with a diverse group of clients on a broad range projects. At People Productions I use my creative talents and interchangeable mix of Web development skills as a interface designer, interactive designer, project manager and on occasion as a web developer.
Swapping the rolling Bluegrass Hills for Majestic Mountains, Ethan hails from the great southern state of Kentucky. My favorite College Prof, Dennis Altman, once told me, "...it's the greatest racket in the world, you get to work with interesting people on all kinds of creative projects, and there's no heavy lifting!"
Man, am I glad I listened to him.
Nathan is a Boulder native and the world is his playground. He generously gives all of his disposable income to Apple, Nikon, and Kayak.com. He travels all over the world on self-assigned photo safaris and has traveled to exotic locations such as Turkey and Tanzania. In a parallel universe, Nathan makes a living as a safari guide in the Serengeti. At home, Nathan enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and exploring the Utah desert. He is also a practitioner of the coffee arts — he roasts his own coffee beans and makes fancy espresso drinks for those who will tolerate his coffee snobbery.
Nathan began his career working in a commercial photography studio where he honed his skills as a photo-illustrator. He went on to be a speaker and instructor at Seybold Seminars where he met and collaborated with the authors of Real World Color Management. In that publication, Nathan contributed examples of how to script and automate color management workflows. These days, he is a web/mobile application developer and is always thinking about building the next great iPad / iPhone app.
In high school I veered from the computer science path into the arts. I started as a theatre actor, moved on to writing and directing film, and landed in post-production. I've been editing professionally for over five years now. Initially I worked on Avid Media Composer, picking up After Effects soon after. A few years later I moved on to finishing and motion graphics work with Avid DS Nitris. These days, I find myself cutting longer form pieces on Final Cut, working to perfect the art of storytelling. I've worked on high end national accounts for companies like McDonald's, Polaris, Coors, and Boston Market, as well as non-profits like Shriners Hospitals for Children and The National Sports Center for the Disabled.
When I'm not on the computer-side of the camera, I like to be a part of the writing and creative process as well as the occasional stint behind the lens. In my free time, I love to watch baseball, ride my motorcycle, go to concerts and discover new drinks and new places to drink them.
Clients keep coming back to work with me because I am able to translate their vision to the screen. I consistently finish their projects on time and on point and everyone seems to have a pretty good time. "
Another Boulder transplant! Matt's first time in Boulder was for freshman orientation at CU where he planned to pursue a degree and career in mechanical engineering. As it happens, the degree part worked out, but after a few short years his career quickly changed direction towards database-driven applications. Having a real passion for learning motivated by new challenges, Matt has developed software for industrial automation, quality control, client management, eCommerce, social networking, and a handful of other applications.
In January 2010, People Productions caught a glimpse of Matt's unique capacity for adaptive learning and brought him aboard the web development team. Whenever there's a new challenge or daunting task, we know he's got it covered as long as we give him 5 minutes.
In addition to the natural beauty and recreation surrounding Boulder, Matt enjoys living in an area where towns have hard-core names such as Gunbarrel, Coal Creek, Black Hawk, and (of course) Boulder itself. If not marveling over hard-core names and things of that sort, he might be designing and fabricating bike parts, riding his bike, working on cars, traveling with his wife, camping in the desert, cooking, or just plain hangin' out.
Jean-Francois has been developing high-throughput web applications for the better part of the last decade. When he's not engrossed in mapping out classes and objects to a mysql database, he can be found enjoying life in Colorado: dropping knee at Berthoud Pass in the winter, riding his single-speed 'niner somewhere along the front range in the summer, and doing a little of both, altitude depending, in the spring and fall. He's also an avid food gardener, and spends an inordinate amount of time in the summer tending to his tomatoes, peppers and squash (much to his two kid's delight since it all ends up in the delicious pasta sauces that he cans in the fall -- yum!).
In a previous life, in a galaxy far, far away, Jean-Francois was an editorial photographer. This background helps him feel right at home at People Productions, where he can code to his heart's content while having to step over C-stands and Pelican cases full of camera gear when going to grab a snack in the kitchen.
When not sleeping in a warm sunny spot, Kobe can be found wandering from room to room looking for a dog lover to lavish attention on him. A graduate of the K-9 school of obedience, Kobe has been honing his attention getting skills on a wide range of clients for the past several years. Never one to shy away from hard work, Kobe ensures that no food particles get left on the floor anywhere in the facility.
