Filmmakers Get One Minute of Fame

People Productions sponsors contest at the Boulder Outdoor Cinema

Boulder, Colorado, June 4, 2009 – As part of their 25th anniversary celebration People Productions is sponsoring a contest supporting independent film. Local filmmakers are encouraged to submit a one minute video and, weekly, the best short will be shown at the Boulder Outdoor Cinema. The three best videos submitted during the summer long season will win great prizes including a Flip HD video camera, a Blu-ray player, or free membership to Boulder Digital Arts including a workshop. People Productions is also a sponsor of the Boulder Outdoor Cinema for their 2009 summer series and has been supporting the local film community for over 25 years. They have worked with independent producers to create such projects as “Grandpa’s in the Tuff Shed,” which spawned Dead Frozen Guy Days in Nederland, and “PeaceJam,” an award winning documentary featuring the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu.  People Productions was also the video sponsor for the 2009 BIFF Film Festival as well as producing the opening trailer that preceded each showing.
