Thinner disc drastically reduces carbon footprint of DVD manufacturing and shipping

Boulder, CO, June 21, 2010: People Productions has expanded its DVD replication services to include the newest upgrade in DVD technology, Flexi-DVDs. While they cost about the same to manufacture, they do not require protective packaging, saving trees, ink and money. Additionally, at half the weight, shipping and mailing costs are drastically reduced. The Flexi-DVD is made using half the plastic of a regular DVD, which reduces the carbon footprint for manufacturing by more than 70%. The Flexi-DVD is 100% recyclable.

The Flexi-DVD is ideal for any disc based direct mail application due to its resilience to breakage, shattering, and cracking. The super-thin flexi-DVD can even by rolled with other marketing materials into a mailing tube, or simply inserted into a mailing envelope with no protective case or packing materials required.
