People Productions created a short video in High Definition with a 3D simulation of a train crash. First, a clean plate was shot showing the train tracks near Pearl and 30th. Then, a wireframe model of a train was created which was finished off to appear real. Sound effects helped sell the story! In this piece, a man is walking his dog near the train tracks. A train passes him and further down the tracks he sees it crash. He has time to get a picture with his cell phone and call 911 before chlorine gas escapes from the tanker and incapacitates him. Because he knew where he was, 911 was able to help him quickly and issue an alert to evacuate the area. Intrado, the Longmont, CO, company that handles the 911 service for the nation is an advocate for consumer safety and hired People Productions to produce this video to be shown to the government to lobby them to create laws to protect the nation.
